Cuba is the first nation from the Caribbean Region to medal at the London Olympics. The country won a silver medal in Judo.

Yanet Bermoy competed in the 52 kilogram class on Sunday, unfortunately, losing to North Korea’s Kum Ae An to lose out on the Gold medal. Last year at the Beijing Olympics she won Silver in the 48 kilogram class.

It’s early days yet at the London Olympics. As soon as the track and field events begin, expect the medals to start rolling in for the Caribbean.
