kirani Kirani James Wins Gold for Grenada

Grenada was given their first Olympic medal in history by Kirani James. The 19 year old left the field for dead in a 400m field that was filled with Caribbean representatives. James. who is the reigning World Champion finished in an impressive 43.94s. Luguelin Santos of Dominica, claimed the bronze and Trinidad’s Lalonde Gorden took the bronze.

Look for him to challenge the world record that has been kept by Michael Johnson who has a similar build to Kirani and has been compared to Kirani on several occasions
