Please note that the official Miami Broward Carnival will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2014. Please keep checking our website www.miamibrowardcarnival.com for updated information about venue and other pertinent information about the 30th year celebration of Carnival in South Florida. Venue will be confirmed after a meeting on May 8, with bandleaders, promoters and other stakeholders in Miami Broward One Carnival.

The chronology of events since the initial announcement was simple and the subsequent backlash was inevitable..
On May 1st, the Miami Carnival board originally announced a date change that lit off a social media storm from people across the globe. Carnival lovers took to the committee’s Fanpage to voice their displeasure,the Mas leaders released their own announcement to keep the date and then the premiere event promoters were threatening to stick with their planned event dates.
Miami Carnival was on track to split up once again, have two carnivals and leave the committee with a stadium venue and no revelers.
The initial decision to disregard the entire purpose of cultural tourism led alot of people scratching their heads.
