Disaster Preparedness

where de crix
I aint gonna lie since I moved to the US/UK, I have not been as prepared as I would be in Dominica. I dont have a stockpile of batteries, or canned food, or kerosene lamps.

During Sande, and the Iceland volanic ash I was surprised to see how dependent I was on the convinence of walking to the store to pick up extra things. And I wasnt alone. The shelves started to empty quickly.

Anybody here maintains that level of preparedness anymore?

i have all those things put away, along with a "grab bag" of my passports, health records, etc etc.. hell if i get stranded at work, i have things in my handbag to last me at least a day or two..
