June 28: Tobagan fisherman Ferdinarn Ferddy Alvares set sails following the trip of his forefathers into the waters of the Caribbean sea in search of his daily catch. He is apprehended by the Barbados coast guard, claiming Alvares has stolen property (flying fish) belonging to the Bajan people (excluding the Guyanese that happen to live there).

June 29: Barbados coast guard accuses Trinidad of being providing Tobago with the naval capacity to steal the flying fish from the Bajan people.

July 5: Trinidad deports all Jamaicans to Barbados in retaliation of this accusation.
