Loyalty to Loyalty
US (AMC) or Danish Version come discuss in here.
I haven't given that a shot. Life on Mars UK eh, I haven't seen the US version.
Do you watch The Killing? I saw the original so ah cah get into the US version. These days ah watching ah DVD box set of a danish/swedish show called Bron/Broen.
And for you, I recommend a brilliant show called Borgen. Every woman of your calibre, should watch that.
YES!!! I wanted to make a thread about the Killing but didn't for the reasons below :kicks: lil embarrassed bout my tv watching BUT at least its quality shows. They had a 2hr premiere for the new season. It reminds me of a version of Twin Peaks (the never ending mystery and endless suspects) but way less kooky. I knew there was a Swedish? version but didn't go looking for it. I will say the US version is pretty ok. the lead chick she is really good and the family of the missing girl they played the grief sooo well even the little brothers. Then the teacher an his lil wife, the politician and his campaign people wow! everyone was pitch perfect the only person I was on the fence about was Holder? her partner he had this sorta Eminem white/black dude way of speaking that was annoying but he came from narcotics and is a lil young so I guess it works or i got accustomed to it.
I'm waiting for them to go back on the casino lead I feel like that isn't done with.
How many seasons of the original are there?
i'll look for the other show u mentioned.
lol i guess i downplay cos i rave about soooooooooooo many shows on here I tried to tone it down teeeheee but yea sat. is when I catch up on it
The original is called Forbrydelsen and there was no casino lead, so perhaps they changed that. But it's basically the same show except in the original the Lead, Lund, is far more persuasive.
The original has filmed/aired two series so far. A third season airs in a few months.
The first - season - is the murdered child, the second takes her into the army. The second is a better story, but the first series had acting of a level I had never ever seen before.
The original Lund is just a beast of acting restraint and her commanding Officer is like a modern day Donald Sutherland.
Borgen, I recommend because it, in the main, depicts the struggle a woman endures between personal success and family neglect.
That's the thing about Danish TV, they know how to write for women.
Persuasive in getting ppl to tell her the truth the first time around?
IMO thats what makes the us one compelling ; you think if they'd just told the truth the first time xyz would be different. Or it even forces you try to figure out what is truth and that more important that recognizing deception (and assuming guilt) is the reason for the deception. I swear everybody seemed so guilty. I like this chick tho you see right off the bat she has integrity and can see the big picture as well as small details and her face is inscrutable, many men she works with are put off by this - they're accustomed to a different type of female.
so explain without giving too much away about the army storyline for their 2nd season.
Yep strong female leads are what attract me to many shows; the good wife, damages, person of interest, the killing, Nikita
And what you wrote about Borgen this character faces as well. This case basically cost her her engagement and for a lil bit she was losing her son - basically neglect because she is trying her hardest to close the murder case. As good as she is at her job she honestly is neglecting her son but the state of mind is that he is a good kid and strong enough to handle it. As in control as she is in some areas others spin out of control and she isn't blind to it.
I guess I should just make the flickin thread sorry picong
series amc sundays 9pm season 1 on flix they tv on season 2 now and i think s1 viewing is essentialseries or movie? what day and time?
u got me shook now.... but I'd say if you don't mind the actual plodding man hours police really takes vs the flashy everything solved in 1 hr approach then yes you will like itso if I use up my Tvtorrents points to download the first season, its gonna be worth it you two?! lol
I've run out of shows to watch and need something else to hold my attention.
yep pretty much this characterNo, more persuasive in that you believe she could be a detective.
She can't fight men (as you see on some shows), she isn't the most brave (I always find it ridiculous when police act like they can't die), she's not looking for a man to fvck and she gets it wrong (again, it should be normal for a police to be wrong a lot before they get it right).
She is a terrible daughter, a bad mother and wasn't a good wife. She dresses in the same clothes. She's not especially good looking.
She's just a riveting character, dogged and not afraid to question herself.
I got my best friend into Tara and when she visited me, we couldn't wait for the Netflix dvd, so we drove to a 24 hr Walmart to buy it :kicksyep pretty much this character
I wouldn't say she bad looking but she has a specific attractiveness, much like how the characters on 6 feet under were.
Sharkie I hear ya all now I need to catch up on united States of Tara but thats a show i like to watch back to back cos the suspense kills me at times. And the last season ended on such a breakthrough for her I hope storyline continues to go up this season.
