Tunes for Panorama 2015

Pan itself is not being monopolized by WhenSteelTalks...in fact he/she should be commended for building a site dedicated to the instrument. That said...what is being monopolized is the local music created for pan....music that really should be spread as far and wide as possible.

So although i commend WhenSteelTalks for what the site is doing, I do believe that the local music being made for pan is not giving its fair breathing space. Many of the songs are excellent songs that can be more pleasing to the listening ear than the party, fete focus soca songs.

All the artists should put a copy of their songs on youtube...in addition to giving it to WhenSteelTalks.
So what is stopping them from doing that?

They are reminding me of the DA's who were behaving just like that up until recently and then complaining about folks not knowing or appreacting their music.

That night will be the first time MANY people hear the songs that the bands are playing....that can't be a good thing. From experience going to panorama in the past, I had to ask what the song was about 90% of the time...

These days they play the song that the band will be playing the minute the previous performance ends. A stroke of genius which really helps the audience's familiarity with the song about to be played.

I know...and my point is that shouldn't be the FIRST time you hear the song.

Whey the live video stream man!? I suspect they are waiting for the big band category before they put a live stream on the net.
