exactly! This is the kind of law that can be used as a front to facilitate black boots showing up on anybody's door step and haulin them away. Very dangerous!
Its unfortunate because Uganda has been doing quite well lately.

The sad thing is that Museveni and others claim to be rejecting 'western' influence with their homophobia. But in reality, this law and others like it are often sponsored by vile Christian scum like the US based evangelicals that are constantly turning up in Africa looking for poor, ignorant people to sow their filth among. Religion and all its disgusting manifestations are on the retreat in educated, wealthy countries where people have access to information and enlightenment. So now they look to Africa.

The real culprits are Christianity and Islam and until we eradicate these bastions of backwardness and stupidity, expect homophobia to keep raising its ugly head.

America have laws that some countries don't like , we should not tell another country what laws they should put on their books .

that is fine. But it is also fine for the US and others to refuse to give any aid or financial support to any country that does not uphold basic values of human decency to its citizens. Why should the taxes of gay Americans go to pay for aid to homophobic states???

Tell them how you really feel! Yeah much of this is driven by evangelists from the west.

I don't see a problem with that , but you know it won't happen . As you know Muslim countries don't like gays and the US still give them aid ... American polititions are upset because it's the political correct thing to do

Go to the mostly-atheist former eastern bloc states and try push your pro-gay agenda there and see how far you get. For an educated man you sure have a very linear and one-dimensional way of thinking. Plenty places that are Christian and Muslim support human rights and tolerate that lifestyle.

How US evangelical missionaries wage war on gay people in Uganda

It is incredible how many otherwise intelligent people are in denial as to the overall bad effect and legacy these silly middle eastern myths have had and continue to have.

I think you will find the people of eastern Europe are very much still suffering from these ignorant belief systems, despite having endured an atheistic dictatorship.

For the record, there really is no such thing as 'atheism' apart from the perspective of people who believe in fairytales. All these so-called 'atheists' have in common is a disbelief that the origins and explanation of the universe are to be found in ancient middle eastern mythological texts. It is like if I assert the universe is in fact the entrance of a giraffe's anus, then invent a word for everyone else who does not share my delusion.

There is a far better word for people who do not believe the contents of middle eastern mythical texts: SANE!
